How did you find Tuum?

While scrolling through job ads, my husband caught sight of Tuum’s advertisement and enthusiastically recommended that I should apply. Intrigued, I delved into the details and found an immediate resonance with everything written so I decided to submit my application.

Compared to my previous experiences, the whole process with Tuum was refreshingly smooth. It unfolded swiftly, encompassing only two meetings. Within a mere two weeks, I found myself signing a contract with Tuum — an efficiency one would expect in the fast-paced startup world.

My first day at Tuum was nothing short of memorable. Freshly relocated to a new office in Skyon, I arrived as a stranger among my colleagues. However, the day took an unexpected turn when the emergency alarm blared, leading to a building-wide evacuation. Although it turned out to be a false alarm, the experience left an indelible mark. On my second day, we embarked on an adventure to Viirelaid to celebrate summer days, fostering an instant connection with my newfound teammates. I can genuinely say that I am blessed with the most exceptional colleagues one could ask for.

What motivates and inspires you in your role?

When I first joined, many processes were still in the development stage, granting me the opportunity to take charge and accomplish tasks independently. This environment has propelled my growth, enabling me to amass valuable experience and expand my skill set at an astonishing pace. The constant evolution is undeniably inspiring and the absence of monotony is what truly captivates me.

What do you enjoy most about the company culture and the individuals you work with?

Our team is an extraordinary one — a group of individuals who embody openness and helpfulness in every sense. Regardless of one’s position or department, the open-door policy prevails, fostering a sense of unity and collaboration.

Some of us also have a small morning tradition. We always start the day with a long, warm hug. This already makes coming to the office worthwhile!

Could you share your most memorable travel experience?

Having explored 48 different countries, it’s challenging to single out just one. However, if I had to choose, Japan stands out for its unique culture and language. I relished the experience of their SPAs and sleeping on the floor — an intriguing departure from my usual customs. Despite the stark differences, everything felt remarkably pleasant, and Japan holds a special place in my heart as one of my first long-distance journeys.

That being said, one of the most extraordinary trips my family embarked upon was our recent adventure to Bolivia and Peru in April. Unfortunately, at the beginning of the trip, I fell victim to both high altitude sickness and COVID. Our itinerary involved changing locations every two days, sometimes settling into ascetic conditions like unheated houses. While it did not unfold precisely as planned, we overcame illnesses, discovered new countries, and emerged with treasured memories.

What superpower would you like to have and how would you use it?

Personally, I would opt for the ability to read people’s thoughts — a power that would facilitate a deeper understanding of those around me. However, it would be crucial for this superpower to have an off-switch. You don’t always want to know what’s going on in people’s heads.
